Job summary
A leading civil engineering contractor in the United Kingdom is looking for a Site Agent to oversee day-to-day operations on construction sites. The successful candidate will manage site teams and subcontractors, ensure projects are completed safely and on time, and maintain compliance with all technical and safety standards. This role offers an opportunity to contribute to high-profile projects and advance within a reputable firm committed to staff development.
Qualifications
- Degree or Diploma in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related discipline.
- Strong knowledge of construction methods, project controls, and site operations.
- Proven leadership and subcontractor management skills.
- CSCS/SMSTS or equivalent site safety certification.
- Familiarity with NEC.
Responsibilities
- Lead and manage the site team, including Sub Agents, Engineers, and Foremen.
- Ensure works are executed safely, on time, and to the required quality standards.
- Coordinate subcontractors, suppliers, and stakeholders.
- Monitor progress, resources, and site productivity.
- Maintain accurate site records, reports, and as-built documentation.
- Implement and enforce HSE and environmental standards.
