Job summary
A major NHS trust in Liverpool is seeking a Band 2 Healthcare Assistant (HCA) to join the team. This position demands a passionate team player who excels in communication and organizational skills. You'll assist patients with hygiene needs and support their mobility while working closely with a well-experienced team. The role offers both full-time and part-time opportunities within a supportive environment at Royal Liverpool Hospital. Qualifications
- NVQ Level 2 or equivalent required.
- Previous experience in a caring role appreciated.
- Ability to develop effective interpersonal relationships.
Responsibilities
- Assist patients with hygiene and personal care.
- Support prevention of pressure sores under instruction.
- Enable patient mobility through exercise as directed.
- Undertake clerical duties to support ward operation.

Education
We have vacancies for an enthusiastic Band 2 HCA to join our team on AMU 2. This is a great opportunity to work with a well‑experienced team on this busy unit. The role requires a passionate, team‑player who excels in communication and organisational skills.
- Assist patients in meeting hygiene needs and carry out all aspects of personal care and grooming (including emptying catheter bags).
- Support the prevention of pressure sore development under the instruction of the Registered Nurse and the patient’s plan of care.
- Enable patients to maintain or improve mobility through exercise and the use of mobility appliances as directed in individual care plans.
- Undertake clerical duties in the absence of or to support the Ward Clerk, ensuring smooth operation of the ward.
