UNLOCK YOUR BEST WORK LIFE + MAKE A DIFFERENCE TO EVERY LIFE We have an exciting opportunity for an Unplanned Care Nurse/Paramedic to join our Primary Care Team at HMP Altcourse, a category B prison located in the Fazakerley area of Liverpool. Salary: This position is full time, you’ll receive a salary of £47,466 per annum. Hours: This is a full time role working 37.5 hours per week. You will work on a rota basis covering weekends on rotation, and nights as required to cover staff leave and sickness. 7am - 8pm, 8am - 9pm, 9am - 10pm, 8pm - 8am. 7 days a week including potential nights, will be expected to rotate into regular weekends potentially 1 in 2 weekends although more likely 1 in 3 weekends but subject to change as per contract.

Main duties of the job
  • Provide outstanding evidence based care to our patients, listening to and acting on their feedback so that care is personalised and informed by what matters to them – focusing on emergency and unplanned care for patients with both primary care and acute care needs.
  • Deliver non-judgemental care, build therapeutic relationships and promote professional boundaries.
  • Play an active part in the assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation of the patient’s care following policies and procedures, always considering safeguarding.

Qualifications required

  • Qualified Paramedic and registered with the HCPC with post qualification experience
  • ILS training and certificates
