The role involves supporting clinicians with biopsies and excisions, ensuring high standards of patient care and clinical safety. Key responsibilities include assisting with minor surgical procedures, maintaining a sterile environment, and providing both pre‑ and post‑procedure patient support. The ideal candidate will be a Registered Nurse (NMC) with experience in dermatology or minor surgical procedures.
- Assist with biopsies and excisions, ensuring safety, precision, and patient comfort.
- Maintain infection control standards and prepare equipment for procedures.
- Provide patient care before, during, and after procedures, including aftercare guidance.
- Accurately document patient notes and procedural outcomes.
- Registered Nurse (NMC) qualification.
- Experience supporting dermatology procedures, particularly biopsies and excisions.
- Knowledge of infection control, clinical governance, and patient confidentiality.
