Business Analyst
Location: Hybrid / London
Rate: £500 per day outside IR35
Duration: 3-month minimum contract

A leading consultancy is seeking an experienced Business Analyst to join a high-profile client engagement in London, working on a hybrid basis. The role will focus on translating business requirements into actionable data insights, working closely with platform and technical teams to deliver high-quality Power BI dashboards and reporting solutions.This is a hands‑on role suited to a Business Analyst with strong data, reporting, and stakeholder engagement capabilities.

• Elicit, analyse, and document business and reporting requirements in line with SFIA Level 4 standards
• Coordinate with platform teams to set up and manage Power BI workspaces
• Configure and manage development and production environments, ensuring appropriate governance and access controls
• Manage data connectivity across multiple data sources
• Work directly with raw data sources to: clean, transform, and model data using Power Query and DAX; prepare datasets for manual loading into Power BI
• Design, build, and maintain interactive and visually engaging dashboards using Power BI Desktop
• Validate data accuracy and ensure dashboards meet business requirements
• Support stakeholders with insights, documentation, and dashboard walkthroughs
• Contribute to continuous improvement of reporting and analytics processes

• Proven experience as a Business Analyst
• Strong hands‑on experience with Power BI Desktop
• Solid knowledge of Power Query and DAX
• Experience working with raw and unstructured data sources
• Understanding of environment management (dev/prod) and data governance
• Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills
• Experience working within large consultancies or complex enterprise environments
• Ability to work hybrid / London‑based

• Background in data analytics or reporting‑focused initiatives
• Experience coordinating with platform, cloud, or data engineering teams
• Familiarity with agile or hybrid delivery methodologies

• Rate: £500 per day outside IR35
• Duration: 3 months minimum (extensions likely)
