We really care about what we stand for and want to move forward together.

What sort of work?

We have an exciting opportunity for a Sustainability Assistant to join us and provide administrative and coordination support to the Sustainability Manager in supporting the delivery of the Firm's environmental sustainability strategy.

This role is based in either our Bristol or Exeter office and will include:

  • Working closely with internal teams (Facilities, HR, IT, Finance) collecting and collating accurate and timely carbon emissions data across the Firm for sustainability reporting purposes
  • Establishing and maintaining relationships with Building Management teams for the Firm's leased properties to gather and consolidate accurate carbon emissions data across the Firm's building portfolio.
  • Gathering and managing Social Value data, including information on community investments, charitable activities, and diversity and inclusion initiatives.
  • Liaising with external consultants to support the calculation of the Firm's carbon footprint and social value impact, ensuring accuracy and compliance with established standards.
  • Assisting in the collection and reporting of data for ISO14001 (Environmental Management System) and other relevant ISO certifications.
  • Supporting other data collation exercises related to the Firm's compliance with sustainability and regulatory requirements, including any audits or assessments.
  • Assisting in responding to client information requests, tenders, regulatory and sustainability governance queries by preparing the necessary sustainability and social responsibility data.
  • Maintaining a clear audit train of all data collected and ensure proper documentation is in place to support external verification and certification processes.
  • Collaborating with the marketing and communications team to promote the Firm's sustainability initiatives and achievements to external stakeholders, including the annual Impact Report and other external reporting initiatives.
How do we work?

We take a flexible, agile approach to working patterns. As a team we agree together on the best working arrangements that will enable each of us to provide exceptional client service, to collaborate and connect with colleagues, and to achieve the right home/work balance.

As a Firm we are committed to supporting our people across all levels to achieve the balance they need. We are open to talking about flexible working and empower any candidate to put forward a flexible working pattern to meet their needs.

Who are we looking for?

We are looking for somebody who will understand our values and thrive in our culture. The role is based in either our Bristol or Exeter office and the ideal candidate will have:

  • Previous experience in administrative or project support roles
  • Exposure to sustainability
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple data sources and meet tight deadlines
  • Attentions to detail, ensuring accurate and consistent data reporting
  • Strong analytical research and problem solving skills
  • Ability to collect and manage data, with strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel for advance data analysis reporting
  • Ability to manage confidential and sensitive data with integrity and professionalism
  • A collaborative and adaptable approach to work, with the ability to thrive in a dynamic environment
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to liaise effectively with internal teams and external stakeholders
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint)
  • Knowledge of sustainability reporting frameworks is advantageous
  • Proactive and self-motivated with a passion for sustainability and responsible business practices

This is a great opportunity to join a Firm which believes potential, inspiration, and teamwork should be valued and nurtured.
