A community-focused hospice organization in the UK seeks a Senior Staff Nurse to deliver high-quality palliative care in patients' homes. You will manage symptoms, mentor new staff, and work with a multidisciplinary team. Ideal candidates are registered nurses with experience in palliative or community nursing. The role offers professional development, 38 days of annual leave (pro-rata), and comprehensive health and wellbeing benefits, ensuring your skills and compassion truly matter.
Hours: 30 hours per week (Nights). Fixed term contract for 18 months.
Are you passionate about delivering outstanding palliative care in the community? Do you want to make a real difference to patients and families at the most important time of their lives?
Join Trinity Hospice’s Hospice at Home team as a Senior Staff Nurse and help us provide compassionate, high‑quality care where it matters most – in people’s own homes.
As a Senior Staff Nurse, you’ll play a vital role in supporting patients and families in the terminal stages of illness. You’ll plan, deliver and evaluate holistic care, working closely with District Nurses, GPs and our multidisciplinary team. You’ll manage symptoms, provide advanced care planning and ensure the emotional, psychological, and spiritual wellbeing of those we support.
You’ll also act as a mentor and role model for new staff and students, helping to raise clinical standards and foster a positive learning environment. In the absence of the Team Leader, you’ll take responsibility for managing the caseload and supporting your colleagues.
Trinity Hospice is a great place to work and has achieved an outstanding rating with the Care Quality Commission and Investors in People Gold accreditation. If you are looking to join a thriving, innovative organisation which puts passion and care at the heart of all its services then this may well be the post for you.
