Job summary
A maintenance company in Northern Ireland is looking for an experienced versatile mechanic to join their team. The role involves performing maintenance and repairs on vehicles, forklifts, and other machinery. Ideal candidates should have proven mechanical experience and knowledge of vehicles. This position offers the opportunity to work Monday through Friday, 6:00am to 4:30pm, totaling 45 hours a week.
Responsibilities
- Build and assemble vehicle components according to requirements.
- Inspect Vehicles, engines, transmissions, etc. and run diagnostic tests.
- Conduct repairs.
- Troubleshoot reported problems and resolve them in a timely manner.
- Perform thorough maintenance on vehicles, trucks, forklifts.
- Clean and apply lubricants.
- Replenish fluids and components of engines and vehicles.
- Undertake other duties as assigned.
Skills
Education
Viking is seeking an experienced versatile mechanic to join our maintenance team.
To perform maintenance and repair on company vehicles, forklifts and other machinery
- Build and assemble vehicle components according to requirements
- Inspect Vehicles, engines, transmissions, etc. and run diagnostic tests discover functionality issues
- Conduct repairs
- Troubleshoot reported problems and resolve them in a timely manner
- Perform through maintenance on vehicles, trucks, forklifts and other machinery
- Clean and apply lubricants
- Replenish fluids and components of engines and vehicles
- Undertake other duties as assigned (e.g. repair of hydraulic systems, painting vehicles etc)
- Keep logs of work and report on issues
- Proven experience as Mechanic
- Excellent knowledge of Vehicles
- Basic Reading Skills
- Lifting up to 100 pounds
- Diesel Engine Repair: 5 year
- Mechanical Knowledge
Position Reports to: Owner
Monday - Friday 6:00am - 4:30pm
45hrs
