Job summary
A recruitment agency is seeking a Case Finalisation Administrator in Exeter to support the criminal justice system by updating databases and handling the disposal of seized property. The role includes completing case files and providing customer service. Candidates must demonstrate knowledge of the criminal justice system and proven customer care skills. Monday to Friday, 9am to 5pm, 37 hours a week. Requires UK residency for the past 3 years.
Qualifications
- Knowledge of the Criminal Justice System is essential.
- Ability to work to deadlines is required.
- Proven customer care skills must be demonstrated.
Responsibilities
- Update the Force Crime Database and Police National Computer.
- Administer disposal of seized property to victims and accused.
- Complete finalisation of case files with correct paperwork.

We are currently recruiting for a Case Finalisation Administrator to work for Devon and Cornwall Police and work at Hawkins House in Exeter
This role will be working Monday to Friday 9am to 5pm - 37 hours a week.
PLEASE ONLY APPLY FOR THIS POSITION IF YOU HAVE LIVED IN THE UK CONTINUOUSLY FOR AT LEAST THE LAST 3 YEARS. THIS IS DUE TO POLICE CRITERIA.
To support the effective delivery of key aspects of the criminal justice system within Devon and Cornwall. In particular, to :
- Update the Force Crime Database (CIS) and the Police National Computer in relation to non-court disposals including Sanction Detections such as conditional cautions, cautions, PNDs, cannabis warnings, warnings, reprimands and final warnings and other non-court disposals such as 'No Further Action', in line with legislation, Force and HMIC recommendations
- Administer the return, disposal or destruction of seized property to victims and the accused, in line with CPIA guidelines.
- Complete the finalisation of files on the conclusion of the case, ensuring the submission of correct paperwork to meet the relevant quality criteria.
- Input retrieve and present data using a computer
- Review, retain and dispose of records and information
- Ensure appropriate handling and storage of property
- Provide specialist advice and knowledge
