12-Month Contract | Type 45 Destroyers | 12-Hour Day & Night Shifts | PAYE
BAE Systems is seeking skilled Ship Technicians to support critical maintenance and upgrade work on the Royal Navy's Type 45 Destroyers in Portsmouth. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a world-class defence project in a long-term, stable role.
- Support mechanical, structural, or electrical work aboard Type 45 vessels
- Carry out installations, upgrades, maintenance, and repairs
- Read and interpret technical drawings and instructions
- Work to MOD and BAE safety and quality standards
- Collaborate with multi-trade teams on a busy shipyard
- Understand Lock out and tag out procedures
- Use of Safe systems of Work
- Ex Navy preferred but not required
Hourly Rate
12-Hour Day Shift
12-Hour Night Shift
- Work on one of the Royal Navy's most advanced surface warships
- Long-term contract with a consistent shift pattern
- Opportunity to gain or maintain security clearance in a defence environment
