The Elite Job is looking for a skilled and detail-oriented Podcast Editor to join our growing network of content creators. You will collaborate with a variety of clients ranging from influencers and entrepreneurs to business professionals, helping them craft compelling, polished audio episodes for diverse audiences. • Edit raw audio files into polished podcast episodes using industry-standard software (e.g., Adobe Audition, Audacity, Descript, etc.).

• Remove filler words, background noise, and awkward pauses while maintaining natural flow and tone.

• Add intro/outro music, voiceovers, ads, and sound effects as per episode format.

• Normalize volume, apply EQ, compression, and other necessary mastering tools for broadcast-quality audio.

• Collaborate with content creators to understand the theme, tone, and branding of each podcast.

• Deliver edited episodes within the agreed turnaround time (usually 48–72 hours).

• Manage file organization and metadata tagging for episode uploads.

• Ensure audio complies with streaming platform standards (Spotify, Apple Podcasts, etc.).

• Proficiency in podcast/audio editing software (e.g., Adobe Audition, Audacity, Hindenburg, Reaper).

• Strong understanding of sound design, audio leveling, noise reduction, and mastering techniques.

• Excellent communication skills and ability to work with remote clients.

• Good ear for pacing, rhythm, and audio storytelling.

• Comfortable following creative direction and offering suggestions when appropriate.

• High-speed internet and a reliable computer setup.

• 1+ year of experience editing podcasts or other spoken-word audio content.

• Freelance or remote audio editing background is highly preferred.

• Portfolio or samples of past podcast/audio editing work will be required during the selection process.

• Flexible working hours based on project deadlines.

• Most projects require 24–72 hour turnaround, including weekends when necessary.

• Ideal for freelancers managing multiple clients or creatives seeking side income.

• Knowledge of podcast distribution platforms (RSS feeds, Apple Podcasts, Spotify).

• Familiarity with different podcast formats (interviews, solo episodes, panel discussions).

• Ability to quickly adapt to varying client expectations and podcast styles.
