Job Description

JUST ONE Tree is a young, yet already award winning, non-profit organisation. In our six years we’ve planted more than 5 million trees, lifted communities out of poverty, protected coastlines and brought climate change education to a quarter of a million children.

We’re looking for an exceptional content creator and communicator, who’s got at least a few years’ experience under their belt, to help us tell our story, and build our community so we can keep on making a difference for the planet.

Role Description

• A flexible, freelance role that we will shape together,to suit us both, where you’ll be….
• Crafting JUST ONE Tree storytelling across our channels, particularly social media and our newsletter, and strengthening the JUST ONE Tree brand
• Working with the marketing and communications lead to plan and create engaging content forsocial media (especially LinkedIn), newsletter, email campaigns and our website
• Using insights and data to iterate and improve the communications and collateral produced
• Creating digital assets for events, campaigns, and conferences
• Reviewing partner information and reports to create compelling content for our supporters that can be used across multiple channels
• Working closely with our founder and wider team to develop our communications and campaigns to take JUST ONE Tree comms to the next level

Role Requirements

• A strong visual eye – focusing on visual quality and consistency across all content
• An excellent writer and editor with a great attention todetail
• Experience in creating content for channels includingsocial, email and web,(including making Reels) and juggling content across multiple channels
• Confident producing digital assets for use in a wide range of ways,with video knowledge a bonus
• Organised, proactive and enthusiastic – we all do what we do with energy and a shoestring budget!
• Adept and comfortable working in a small, remote team
• Ideally located in the UK and happy to commute to London for event attendance and capturing content for communications
• Have your own computer
• Fluent in English
• At least two years’ experience in shaping, creating and evolving social media and communications
