Requirements

The appointee will be expected to be fully trained in General Cardiology, as well as having relevant subspecialty imaging skills in echocardiography and cardiac CT scanning. The appointee will have responsibility for the strategic development and operation of both clinical pathways with strong imaging content and early disease detection in-reach and outreach programs. These functions will be supported by the NEL ICB, the Specialist cardiology directorate, the CDC management team and the Cardiac Diagnostics directorate.

The successful candidate will possess expertise in all forms of echo imaging and cardiac CT scanning. A key focus will be leveraging consultant-led care to support service development within the CDC, with opportunities to lead or contribute to various areas, including developing imaging/valve disease services.
