A regional healthcare provider in Lancashire is seeking a Community CAMHS Mental Health Practitioner to provide assessments and interventions for children facing emotional challenges. This role involves working in a supportive multidisciplinary team that champions innovative approaches to mental health care. Candidates must hold relevant qualifications as a Registered Nurse or social worker and demonstrate skills in building therapeutic relationships. This is an exciting opportunity to work within an innovative, dynamic and growing multi-disciplinary Community CYPMH in LSCFT- Fylde and Wyre. The children & young people who access our services present with a wide range of emotional and mental health difficulties ranging from moderate to severe.
You would be joining an established, supportive and hardworking team who are passionate about improving the outcomes for the children, young people and their families/carers.
As a Community CAMHS Mental Health Practitioner you will be an integral member of the multidisciplinary team offering consultation, assessment and evidence-based interventions to children and young people we serve.
You must be a Registered Nurse, Dip SW or equivalent social work qualification (CSS, CQSW, degree in social work), Allied Health Professional registered with the HCPC and accredited by a HCPC recognised body e.g. UKCP/BACP.
You are encouraged to enrol for the DBS Update Service. An annual fee of £16 per year applies.
Lancashire & South Cumbria NHS Foundation Trust provides a range of services including secondary mental health care across this area. Specialist provision comprises inpatient child and adolescent mental health services, perinatal mental health and forensic services including low and medium secure care.
The Trust also provides a range of physical health and well-being services in the community alongside a range of partners in the Lancashire, Cumbria and Sefton area.
