A community-focused service provider in Greater London is seeking an Operations Manager to lead their Adult Social Care team. This critical role involves managing and improving service delivery to ensure safe and effective care for vulnerable adults. The ideal candidate will have extensive operational management experience and strong leadership skills, as well as a commitment to safeguarding. This role offers a hybrid working model, allowing flexibility while making a meaningful impact in the community.

You will be responsible for managing and improving service delivery across multiple localities in Calderdale, ensuring high-quality, safe, and effective services that meet the diverse needs of our community.
As a key member of their extended leadership team, you will work collaboratively across sectors, lead multi-professional teams, and have a direct impact on improving outcomes for adults in Calderdale. Oversee the operation of adult social care services within your portfolio, ensuring the efficient delivery of high-quality care that meets local needs and statutory requirements.
Contribute to the redesign and continuous improvement of services, focusing on preventative approaches, early intervention, and personalised care that maximises independence and choice.
Manage and lead a team of qualified social workers and professionals, including CQC regulated provider services, ensuring effective service delivery aligned with Calderdale Cares priorities.
Build and maintain collaborative relationships with colleagues across the Council, Health, Third Sector, community groups, and the provider market to ensure a cohesive approach to adult social care.
Take responsibility for performance outcomes, budget action plans, and financial management within your portfolio, ensuring resources are used effectively and efficiently.
Manage risk and ensure compliance with health and safety policies, safeguarding responsibilities, and CQC regulations to protect both service users and staff.
Identify opportunities for service transformation and contribute to collaborative working and integration between health and social care services to enhance service delivery.
Act as a member of the Extended Leadership Team, contributing to cross-directorate leadership, change, and strategic planning for the Directorate.
Extensive operational management experience in adult social care or a related field, with a proven track record in leading multi-disciplinary teams and managing CQC regulated services.
Strong leadership and team management capabilities, with experience of leading change, fostering innovation, and developing staff.
The ability to contribute to the development of strategic plans and service improvement initiatives, and to ensure alignment with statutory requirements and local needs.
Excellent relationship-building skills with internal and external partners, with a commitment to collaborative, integrated working across sectors.
Proven experience in budget setting, management, and the delivery of value for money services.
A deep commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of adults at risk, with the ability to lead safeguarding initiatives effectively.
Ability to work flexibly outside standard hours, including evenings and weekends, as required to support service delivery.
Hybrid working model, with a balance of working from home and from a designated council workplace.
