A pioneering charity in Birmingham is searching for an Employment Consultant to support individuals transitioning from prison to meaningful employment. The role involves navigating barriers, building strong local employer partnerships, and conducting job surgeries. The ideal candidate should be empathetic, organised, and experienced in fostering relationships across diverse groups. This position offers a competitive salary of £30,000 to £34,000 per annum along with flexible working options, including remote work during the week.

Hours: Full-time, 37.5 hours per week – Permanent

This award-winning organisation is redefining rehabilitation and employment support for people with convictions, and they’re looking for a passionate, people-focused Employment Consultant to join their Birmingham-based team.
As a Community Employment Consultant, you’ll be the vital link between prisons, employers and the community. You’ll support individuals before and after release, helping them navigate barriers and secure meaningful employment. You’ll also build strong partnerships with local employers, public services and third-sector organisations to create real opportunities for people rebuilding their lives.
This is a hybrid role based in Birmingham, with at least three days a week in the office and regular travel to West Midlands prisons. A full driving licence is essential and mileage is reimbursed.
