What You'll Be Doing:
Preparing delicious, high-quality food that delights our clients and customers
Identifying opportunities to improve our food service and menus
Creating a positive kitchen environment where your team feel welcomed and supported
Delivering tasty and innovative food concepts that align with Compass Group standards
Representing Compass Group UK&I and maintaining a strong, positive brand image
Ordering food, managing stock control, and controlling food waste
Overseeing kitchen cleaning and hygiene standards
Managing budgets and achieving financial targets
Complying with Food Handling, Hygiene, and Health & Safety regulations
The Ideal Candidate Will:
Hold a City & Guilds 706/1 & 2 or NVQ equivalent qualification
Have experience in a similar Head Chef role
Be a brilliant communicator with the ability to build strong team relationships
Create a positive work environment where the whole kitchen team can thrive
Take initiative and make sound decisions for the benefit of customers and team
Show enthusiasm, motivation, and a drive to deliver excellence
Demonstrate exceptional timekeeping and reliability
Thrive under pressure and remain calm and focused
Be safety-conscious with a strong understanding of food hygiene
Be genuinely passionate about food and culinary innovation
