Job summary
A prominent data solutions provider in the United Kingdom is seeking an SC Cleared BI Developer to contribute to a crucial data management project for a major defence organization. The ideal candidate will have advanced skills in SQL Server, Visual Studio, and experience with Power BI. This hybrid role requires the candidate to hold active SC clearance and be available for occasional travel to Hampshire, offering a competitive day rate of up to £550.
Qualifications
- Advanced SQL skills with server management and object handling.
- Experience with SSIS for ETL processes is essential.
- Knowledge of setting up Power BI Report Server is a must.

An opportunity for a SC Cleared BI Developer to join a well established team to deliver a high profile data management system for a major defence organisation. Harnessing deep BI, SQL and Data engineering experience, the successful candidate will be a team player and work effectively with civil servants and end users.
- Advanced expertise in SQL Server (2019, Analysis, Security, Objects, Jobs)
- Advanced experience with Visual Studio (SSIS, SSAS, DAX)
- Advanced skills in SSIS (Package creation, Data ingestion, Data Cleansing & ETL)
- Strong understanding of interaction with SSAS and Power BI Desktop
- Strong experience using DAX within Tabular Model
- Advanced experience in Active Directory
- Experienced in setting up and configuring Power BI Report Server (on premise)
- Experience working in Government environments to GDS standards
- Desirable experience in Military / Defence setting
- All candidates must be based in the UK and hold active SC clearance
- Day rate: Up to £550
- IR35: Outside
- Start Date: ASAP
- Duration: 6 months (initial sign up)
- Location: Hybrid - occasional travel to Hampshire
