Job summary
A leading recruitment firm is urgently seeking an experienced Security Assurance Coordinator for a long-term contract in Bristol. Candidates should have substantial experience within a DV Cleared environment and a solid background in MoD Systems Assurance. The role involves leading security assurance activities across MoD projects, ensuring compliance with relevant standards, and conducting risk assessments. This presents an excellent opportunity to work in a dynamic organization with a commitment of 3 days per week and is outside IR35.
Qualifications
- Active DV clearance required.
- Commitment to 3 days per week for consultancy role.
Responsibilities
- Lead and coordinate security assurance activities across MoD systems projects.
- Support the development and maintenance of RMADS.
- Liaise with accrediting authorities and system owners.
- Conduct risk assessments and advise on mitigations.
- Track and report on assurance progress.
Skills
Our client, a rapidly growing organisation, urgently require an experienced Security Assurance Coordinator to undertake a long term contract.
In order to be successful, it is essential that you have the following experience:
- Extensive experience as a Security Assurance Coordinator within a DV Cleared environment
- Comprehensive background within MoD Systems Assurance
- Ensure compliance with MoD security policies, standards, and frameworks
- It is essential that you hold an active DV clearance
- Consultancy based role, must be able to commit to 3 days per week
Within this role, you will be responsible for:
- Lead and coordinate security assurance activities across MoD systems projects.
- Support the development, review, and maintenance of RMADS (Risk Management and Accreditation Documentation Sets)
- Ensure compliance with MoD security policies, standards, and frameworks (e.g., JSP440, JSP604, NCSC guidance)
- Liaise with accrediting authorities, system owners, and delivery teams to achieve and maintain accreditation
- Conduct risk assessments and advise on appropriate mitigations
- Track and report on assurance progress, highlighting risks and issues to stakeholders
- Provide guidance on secure system design, implementation, and operation
- Support audits, inspections, and continuous improvement of assurance processes
