DP World are seeking Business Application Specialists to be based either in the UK or Ireland with Poland or Turkey also considered. These roles are pivotal within Europe’s technology landscape, designed to bridge the gap between business operations and IT solutions by ensuring that enterprise applications are reliable, efficient, scalable, and fully aligned with the organization’s digital transformation agenda.

• Assist in ensuring that all business application activities are consistent with DP World Europe’s technology strategy and digital transformation roadmap, driving operational efficiency across business units.
• Maintain working knowledge of both global and regional application portfolios to support effective evaluation of current systems and anticipate evolving business needs.
• Contribute to the successful rollout of global IT standardization mandates, assisting with configuration, testing, data migration, documentation, and user support to ensure smooth and timely implementation.
• Participate in objective solution assessments and market research by gathering requirements, preparing reports, and supporting the Business Applications Manager in validating scalability, cost-efficiency, and compliance of proposed solutions.
• Deliver or organize end-user training, prepare user documentation, and support communication activities during transitions to ensure seamless adoption and minimal disruption.
• Ensure applications are used effectively to process transactions accurately, securely, and in compliance with organizational standards. Assist with data validation, reporting, and user issue resolution.
• Stay informed about emerging technologies and application best practices in logistics and supply chain IT to support continuous improvement and innovation.
• Provide structured reports and maintain up-to-date documentation on application issues, performance, and improvement opportunities, supporting governance and transparency.
• Collaborate with external vendors to ensure timely resolution of application issues, upgrades, and service delivery in line with SLA commitments. Manage vendor relationships and monitor contractual obligations.
• Support change and release management processes by ensuring proper documentation, testing, and communication.

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business Administration, or a related discipline.
• 3–5 years of professional experience in business applications support, with specific expertise in document management systems and/or workflow management
• ITIL Foundation certification to support structured service and incident management practices.
• Agile or Scrum certification to contribute effectively to project and change initiatives.
• Business application support or administration training/certification to strengthen functional expertise.
• Advanced degree (e.g., Master’s in IT or Business Administration) is a plus but not required.
• Proven experience in supporting business applications operations, including incident resolution, configuration, and end-user assistance.
• Involvement in system and regression testing activities, assisting in defect identification and resolution.
• Hands-on contribution to data migration and validation during application transitions, ensuring accuracy and integrity.
• Experience in preparing training materials, delivering user support sessions, and maintaining documentation to enable adoption.
• Familiarity with demand and project management tools to track incidents, demands, and enhancements.
• Participation in application rollouts, migrations, or upgrade projects, preferably within international or multi-business environments, working under the guidance of a Business Applications Manager.
• Experience in platform/ solution migration, Document Management Systems or CMMS, AI related technologies is a big plus
