A leading digital payments platform in the UK seeks a Business Development Consultant to drive customer acquisition and nurture relationships with automotive retailers. This remote role involves visiting sites and focusing on expanding the client portfolio, fostering strong partnerships, and delivering training. The ideal candidate will have consultative selling experience, strong negotiation skills, and a clean driving license. Bumper is a multi-award-winning digital payments and insight platform within the automotive industry. We work with over 5,000 automotive retailers, helping drivers to pay for motoring costs, accessories, and other services through a variety of different payment options. Our purpose is to build a solution that gives drivers peace of mind while enhancing customer experience and assisting with dealer profitability.
We’re a fast-growing payments scale-up, fresh off the back of a successful Series B funding round in 2024 and we’ve just completed a Series B extension in August 2025!
Our Head Office is in Sheffield City Centre, with offices also based in London and Turkey. We've also expanded further, bringing retailers in Ireland, Germany, Spain, and the Netherlands on board, with the vision of being the leading automotive payment and insights platform.
As our new Business Development Consultant, you’ll play a key role in driving growth through customer acquisition and nurturing existing relationships. You’ll be expanding our portfolio of automotive retailers, leveraging our strong relationships with OEMs and prestigious dealerships across the North of England.
Reporting directly to the Business Development Team Lead, this role will be remote, with an average of 2 days per week out and about visiting sites.
Our Sales team are passionate, professional and enthusiastic, and are looking to welcome a Business Development Consultant with a shared interest in Bumper's scale-up journey - aiming to embed Bumper as the leading payments and insights platform!
