A leading recruitment firm is seeking a Project Manager to lead defence programmes in the UK. This role involves managing projects from definition through to delivery, ensuring compliance within regulated environments. The ideal candidate must have proven experience in UK defence settings and strong project management capabilities across planning, risk, and stakeholder control. The position offers £50,000 to £70,000 plus benefits, including a car allowance and private medical insurance, with hybrid working arrangements.

- Managing defence projects from definition through delivery and close‑out.
- Coordinating technical, commercial, and delivery inputs to maintain control.
- Operating within defence governance, assurance, and reporting frameworks.
- Using project data to support decisions and delivery confidence.
Skills
You will lead the delivery of defence programmes with clear ownership across scope cost and governance. This role offers progression responsibility and long-term exposure within regulated defence environments.
- Sole British nationality with birth in the UK.
- Proven experience delivering UK defence programmes within regulated settings.
- Strong project management capability across planning cost risk and stakeholder control.
£50,000 to £70,000 plus car allowance.
- Managing defence projects from definition through delivery and close‑out.
- Coordinating technical commercial and delivery inputs to maintain control.
- Operating within defence governance assurance and reporting frameworks.
- Using project data to support decisions and delivery confidence.
- Background in project management within defence infrastructure or complex delivery environments.
- Strong understanding of programme controls and risk management.
- Exposure to NEC contracts is desirable but not essential.
- Confidence engaging with senior and multidisciplinary stakeholders.
