You will be responsible for the development and evaluation of new chemical & natural products, biopesticide & biostimulant formulations. There will also be opportunities to conduct research into novel technologies aimed at meeting unmet industry needs.

1. At least 3 years’ experience in the development of, preferably, crop protection formulations. Experience in other industry sectors such as detergents, cosmetics, & biocides will also be considered.
2. Proven recent experience in developing innovative solutions to complex formulation challenges.
3. Excellent project management skills, with a track record of delivering projects on time and within budget.
4. Strong team working skills, including liaising with clients, colleagues, and suppliers.
5. Experience in supervising, developing, and mentoring less experienced staff.
6. Knowledge of safe working practices in a Chemistry laboratory, including COSHH & risk assessments.
7. Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
8. Ability to act as a GLP Study Director for formulation Phys-chem & storage stability studies.
9. Ability to leverage extensive knowledge and experience to identify research topics leading to patentable inventions.
10. Well-developed presentation skills for discussions with clients and at conferences or seminars.

• Qualified to at least BSc or MSc degree level, with a First or Upper Second Class Honours in Chemistry or a similar scientific discipline. A PhD in a relevant subject is an advantage.
