A global life sciences company is seeking a motivated Laboratory Technician to support laboratory activities in Macclesfield, UK. The role includes routine maintenance and compliance with GMP standards. Candidates from varied backgrounds are welcome, though a scientific background is advantageous. Avantor is looking for a motivated and proactive Laboratory Technician to join our laboratory-based team in Macclesfield UK. In this role you will take ownership of laboratory support activities in compliance with GMP standards including equipment maintenance, reagent preparation and supply management.
A scientific background or experience is not essential but would be an advantage for this role. We welcome candidates from a variety of backgrounds who are looking to transition into a scientific environment.
This is a full-time permanent position based at our customers site in addition to a competitive salary. We offer a comprehensive benefits package that includes a bonus scheme, pension plan, private medical and dental care, and even an extra day off on your birthday.

You will be part of a wider team of 15 associates with 9 in your direct team and 6 in a partnering team located in the same building on campus. Both teams are close-knit and often share breaks and lunches together. The team is dedicated to providing operational support to laboratories on-site.
You’ll be part of our Lab and Production Services department, which supports leading pharmaceutical companies and laboratories worldwide, helping to advance research and development in the Life Sciences industry.
