A leading water service provider in England is seeking a Mechanical & Electrical Technician to join their Wastewater Division based in Wantage. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining and repairing mechanical and electrical systems to ensure operational efficiency. The role offers a competitive salary up to £45,000 per annum, along with opportunities for standby payments and overtime. A significant focus on health and safety and a valid driving license are essential for this role.
We are currently recruiting for a Mechanical & Electrical Technician to join our Wastewater Division, based at Wantage Sewage Treatment Works.
You will use your mechanical & electrical knowledge and experience to inspect, maintain, fault diagnose, test, install, modify or repair mechanical plant and associated electrical equipment in a safe, efficient and timely manner with minimum supervision to help keep our sites operational for our customers.
This is an excellent opportunity to make a real difference to Thames Water's environmental impact by helping to reduce pollution from our sites.
Base Location: Wantage - OX12 0DL
Working Pattern: 38 hours, Monday – Friday 7:30 am – 3:36 pm. Standby and overtime opportunities can increase earnings by £8,000–£10,000.
All PPE and tools are provided.
Qualifications: You must have a previous electrical apprenticeship, ONC/HNC in engineering, NVQ, or C&G Level 3 in Electrical Engineering with upskilling in mechanical (NVQ2/3) as crucial.
