Salary: £30,279 to £33,116 per year

Summary: A renowned provider of acute and community healthcare in vibrant East London is seeking a Pharmacy Technician to join the team in their hospital-wide pharmacy services. With a recent “Outstanding” CQC rating and a commitment to exemplary healthcare, education, and research, the hospital is investing in both its people and facilities.

Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with an experienced, forward-thinking team to ensure patients receive pharmacy care with the highest levels of safety and effectiveness.
  • Rotate across the dispensary and distribution/procurement services; dispense medicines accurately.
  • Provide medication counselling and maintain appropriate stores; offer effective medicines management services.
  • Support the implementation of automated medicines cabinets (Omnicell) in all clinical areas; participate in training for top-up services, maintenance, and supporting nursing staff using the new system.
Qualifications
  • Essential: NVQ Level 3 in Pharmacy Services Skills / Level 3 Diploma in Principles and Practice for Pharmacy Technicians / equivalent qualification
  • Essential: Registration with the GPhC as a Pharmacy Technician
  • Desirable: Qualification as an Accuracy Checking Pharmacy Technician (ACPT)
  • Desirable: Previous hospital pharmacy experience
