Overview

We're hiring a Production Technician on behalf of a leading production company delivering high-quality technical solutions for live events. This is a hands-on role where you’ll manage, prepare, and maintain equipment for projects across the UK and internationally. You’ll play a key part in ensuring every project runs smoothly from warehouse to site. Based in Essex, you’ll work on exciting national and international live production projects. Be part of a supportive and skilled technical team. Enjoy a varied role with opportunities to grow and develop.

Responsibilities
  • Work closely with Production Managers to prepare equipment for live projects, following detailed instructions and ensuring kit is packed, wrapped, and documented correctly.
  • Load and unload vehicles, secure freight, and maintain a clean and safe warehouse environment.
  • Travel to site locations—nationally and internationally—supporting project delivery and managing equipment on the ground.
  • Oversee freelancers and contractors when required, ensuring safety and quality standards are met.
  • Maintain and repair equipment, monitor stock levels, and report faults.
  • Take ownership of warehouse assets, vehicles, and tools, ensuring everything is secure and in working order.
Experience / Qualifications
  • Experience working in a technical or production environment.
  • Strong understanding of health and safety and PPE regulations.
  • Ability to follow detailed instructions and work to high standards.
  • Willingness to travel internationally and work away from home.
  • Confident managing equipment, tools, and warehouse assets.
  • Able to work flexibly, including additional hours when needed.
  • Good communication and teamwork skills.
  • Willingness to learn and develop within the role.
