Job summary
A leading educational institution in the UK is seeking to hire a Director of Health, Safety, Resilience and Security Risk. This role is key in providing leadership and management for health and safety initiatives across the organization. The ideal candidate will have proven experience in risk management and will ensure compliance with regulations while fostering a positive safety culture. This full-time permanent position involves hybrid working arrangements with significant on-site responsibilities.
Qualifications
- Proven leadership experience in health and safety or risk management.
- Ability to develop and implement corporate strategies.
- Strong communication skills to inform and advise senior leaders.

Contract: Open-Ended/Permanent – Full Time
5 days out of 7 (primarily Monday to Friday). Hybrid Working – minimum of three days per week on site. Availability for an out-of-hours, on-call rota when required.

You will provide leadership, management, guidance and support for all aspects of health, safety, business continuity, resilience and security risk across the University.
Oversee the corporate strategy, objectives, arrangements, and infrastructure for the portfolio; monitor compliance, conformity, resilience and implementation; keep the University Executive Committee (UEC) and senior leaders informed of issues; provide internal independent advice across the University.
Develop and maintain the associated management systems; review and refresh existing policies and processes. Develop strategies, promote best practices and ensure compliance while reinforcing a positive risk management culture.
Provide expertise, guidance and advice to ensure a safe and secure environment for all academic, student, professional service and visitor-related activities.
