Job summary
A leading service provider located in Slough is seeking a Management Accountant to join their finance team. The role involves preparing monthly reporting packs, variance analysis, and supporting financial operations. Ideal candidates will be ACCA/ACA/CIMA qualified or have equivalent experience and exhibit strong technical skills with opportunities for hybrid working after one month.
Qualifications
- Qualified (ACCA/ACA/CIMA) or nearing completion of studies.

- Outstanding technical approach and comprehensive understanding of month-end process.
Responsibilities
- Prepare monthly reporting pack and variances for two entities.
- Process monthly journals, accruals, and prepayments.
- Assist with annual budgeting and forecasting.

Holden Jones is pleased to be partnering with this very successful service provider based on the Slough Trading Estate as they seek to add a talented and committed Management Accountant to their finance team.
The role focuses on preparation of the monthly reporting pack and variances, for two of the group entities comprising seven P & Ls. Responsibilities will include:
- Processing/reviewing of monthly journals, accruals and prepayments.
- Completion of monthly management packs for 2 entity and 7 individual P&Ls consolidated and including variance analysis.
- To assist with the delivery of accurate periodic P&L
- To ensure the accounts reflect an accurate cost base by reviewing and understanding variances to budget and last year and accruing and prepaying costs appropriately.
- To produce variance analysis on key revenue and cost lines with explanations to support variances to budget, forecast and last year.
- To produce robust balance sheet reconciliations and ensure outstanding items are cleared in a timely fashion.
- To assist in the forecasting and annual budgeting processes and provide financial support to key business stakeholders.
- To assist in the production of daily, weekly and periodic reporting as well as management information packs and board papers
- To produce slides for board meeting and present finance at briefings as and when required
- To proactively improve and streamlining process to enable improved reporting and efficiency of the month end process.
- To assist the financial control team with the preparation of statutory financial statements for subsidiaries and relevant supporting work papers for the year end audit
- To provide financial support to ad-hoc projects as well as any other ad-hoc duties as request by the Finance Business Partner or Financial control team.
This role is based in the Slough office with a hybrid option after one month.
