Overview

Registered Manager - Children's Residential Home

We are looking for an experienced Registered Manager to lead a brand-new 6-bed Ofsted-regulated Children's Home supporting young people aged 11-17 with Emotional and Behavioural Difficulties (EBD). Salary: £65,000 - £70,000 per annum. Bonus: £1,000 on successful Ofsted registration + £6,000 upon full occupancy (T&Cs apply). Hours: Monday - Friday, 9am - 5pm. This is a unique opportunity to open, shape, and grow a new home, while building and leading your own team to deliver outstanding care.

Responsibilities
  • Act as the Ofsted Registered Manager, ensuring compliance with regulations and standards.
  • Recruit, train, and develop your team, fostering a child-focused culture.
  • Oversee personalised care plans for young people with complex needs and challenging behaviours.
  • Manage budgets, rotas, and staffing effectively.
  • Work in partnership with social workers, schools, health professionals, and other agencies.
  • Ensure the home is always “Ofsted inspection ready.”
About You
  • Level 5 Diploma in Leadership & Management for Residential Childcare (or equivalent).
  • 4+ years' post-qualification experience, including 2+ years in a management role.
  • Strong knowledge of children's homes regulations, safeguarding, and Ofsted frameworks.
  • Proven leadership and team development skills.
  • Confident in managing budgets, resources, and KPIs.
  • Additional training in therapeutic or trauma-informed practice desirable.
