A leading FMCG company in Issy-les-Moulineaux seeks a Private Label Project Manager to lead product initiatives for European retail customers. This role involves coordinating project plans, managing tender responses, and ensuring compliance with quality and legal standards. The ideal candidate has a Master's degree, at least 18 months of FMCG experience, and proficiency in French and English, making a significant impact on product innovation.
Main Purpose of the Role As a Private Label Project Manager, you will take the lead on the end-to-end coordination of product initiatives for European retail customers. You'll BE the central link between commercial teams, R&D, Quality, Packaging, Supply Chain, external partners (agencies, printers), and retailers, ensuring smooth product launches, lifecycle management, and continuous optimization. From tender responses and packaging development to artwork validation and product specifications, you will make sure every project is delivered on time, on budget, and in line with CSR and regulatory commitments. Key Accountabilities Project Coordination & Planning - Develop and maintain project plans, ensuring milestones are met. - Drive collaboration across R&D, Quality, Packaging, Supply Chain, Production, and agencies. - Ensure alignment with customer expectations, CSR commitments, and deadlines. - Anticipate risks, resolve challenges, and deliver proactive solutions. Tender & Product Development Management - Assess feasibility of proposals with Quality, R&D, Packaging, Purchasing, and regulatory teams. - Optimize recipes, formats, and specifications to match customer briefs. - Contribute to margin improvement opportunities. - Manage tender responses with Key Account Managers. - Coordinate timely sample preparation, validation, and shipping. Packaging & Artwork Coordination - Lead artwork and packaging development, validation, and quality control. - Oversee digital platforms and approval processes with customers. - Guarantee compliance with legal, quality, and customer requirements. Customer Interface & Stakeholder Communication - Act as the go-to contact for internal and external stakeholders. - Maintain transparent communication and alignment with customers. - Adapt to customer-specific needs for optimal outcomes and satisfaction. - Share market insights, trends, and innovation opportunities. - Support commercial teams with portfolio presentations and arguments. - Collaborate with other regional Project Managers to exchange best practices and leverage global knowledge. Education & Professional Experience - Master's degree in Business or Food Engineering - Minimum 18 months' experience in the FMCG sector (Marketing and / or Supply Chain) with proven exposure to artwork development processes - Solid background in Project Management - Languages : - French & English : professional proficiency (written & spoken, mandatory) - Other European languages (Italian, German, etc.) are a strong plus - Digital & Data Tools : - Proficiency in MS Office Pack - Familiarity with PIM, WAVE, SAP considered a valuable asset This role is ideal for a dynamic and detail-oriented professional eager to grow in an international FMCG environment while working closely with top European retailers
