Offshore Operations Risk & Safety Management Specialist
Job summary
An international management consulting firm is seeking a safety and risk management specialist with experience in oil and gas facilities. This position involves working offshore on a freelance basis for 8 to 12 months, focusing on risk and safety management during maintenance operations. Candidates must be fluent in both French and English and be available to start within 4 weeks.
Qualifications
- Extensive operational safety and risk management experience in offshore and onshore facilities.
- Experience managing risk and safety during maintenance activities in the oil and gas sector.
- Expertise in managing and operating on offshore platforms.
Responsibilities
- Work offshore on rotation (3 on, 2 off) for the duration of the contract.
- Manage risk and safety operations as part of maintenance teams.
- Act as a subject matter expert in risk and safety management.

We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced safety and risk management specialist with maintenance experience in onshore and offshore Oil and gas facilities to join us in an 8 to 12-month project. This will involve working offshore on rotation (3 on, 2 off) for the duration of the contract. While we will always try to find you other work and projects after this project, we cannot guarantee that we will find other work for you so please only apply if you are interested in this freelance project.
Our Independent Contractors are subject matter experts with extensive risk and safety management experience within the Oil and Gas industry.
You will be a risk and safety expert with experience in offshore and/or onshore oil and gas facilities. Ideally, you will have experience in the management of risk and safety relating to maintenance within those environments.
- Working on offshore platforms, managing and operating with and as part of maintenance teams with a strong focus on risk and safety management.
- Extensive operational safety and risk management experience in the oil and gas industry.
- You will be fluent in French and English, and able to read, write, and speak the languages in a professional environment.
As a freelance or interim professional, you will be looking to work with DSS+ on various projects as one of your portfolio of clients. Ideally, you will be available at short notice (within 4 weeks).
