We are looking for "Design Appraisal Specialist" role for their growing team in Lyon,France.

• A relevant bachelor's or master's degree in Engineering from a recognized university or equivalent institution.
• 4 to 8 years of relevant work experience, demonstrating a comprehensive understanding of specialist requirements, knowledge, and application.
• Proficient in the design and construction of pressure equipment and pressure systems in accordance with PED (2014 / 68 / EU).
• Experienced in creating and using P&IDs, equipment lists, and line lists.
• Preferably experienced in using Hazop studies and reports (IEC61882).
• Preferably experienced in case determination and relief calculations of Pressure Safety Valves (API and or EN).
• Preferably experienced in using Safety Instrumented Systems (IEC 61508 / IEC 61511).
• Proficiency in French is required.
• Proficiency in English, both written and verbal, corresponding with the work.

• Perform complex assessments and provide specialist advice, solutions, and training to internal and external clients within agreed parameters, including budget constraints and contractual requirements.
• Produce deliverables within agreed parameters in an appropriate format.
• Review and monitor other employees work as requested.
• Assess and recommend the time / value of work for external clients within agreed fee / cost structures and commercial contract aspects.
• Issue quotations up to an agreed limit in line with company standard terms and conditions (e.g., commercial notice).
• Discuss deliverables with internal and external clients at a senior level and suggest alternative solutions where appropriate.
• Conduct activities in line with internal procedures, accreditation schemes, legislation, and industry standards.
• Contribute to client management by acting as a point of contact to effectively manage internal and external client relationships.
