A leading scientific instrumentation company is seeking a Technical Sales Specialist to focus on market development in Southern Europe. This role involves fostering long-term relationships with clients and agents, managing key accounts, and representing the company at various events. The ideal candidate will thrive in a scientific environment, possess strong interpersonal skills, and be dedicated to nurturing long-term partnerships. Compensation includes a salary around €80K with performance-based bonuses.
Our client operates within the world of high-technology scientific instrumentation, supporting advanced research and industrial innovation. Its solutions contribute to major breakthroughs in semiconductors, geology, materials science, and academic or government research. Although niche, this sector has a strong impact on the development of next-generation technologies.
The portfolio includes highly specialised analytical instruments used by leading semiconductor groups, national laboratories, and top-tier universities. These tools help customers understand materials at an exceptional level of detail, solve complex scientific challenges, and accelerate innovation. The sales approach is consultative, application-driven, and centred on long-term partnerships.
Southern Europe is the region with the biggest potential and therefore most prospection is required in this area. A network of agents is already in place, and this role strengthens the company’s ability to support them, expand prospection, and reinforce direct sales in key countries. You would be stepping into a strategic position within a collaborative and agile European commercial team.
As Sales Manager for Southern Europe, you will develop a multi-country territory with strong potential. Your work goes far beyond presenting products; it involves meeting highly knowledgeable experts, identifying the right contacts, and building credible long-term relationships.
We are looking for someone who is both driven and empathetic. You know how to open doors tactfully, support partners constructively, and build trust through genuine listening. You enjoy meeting people, learning continuously, and engaging with some of the most advanced scientific minds in Europe. You like both hunting for new opportunities and nurturing established relationships.
The company offers several weeks of structured onboarding, including technical training, shadowing, and continuous support from senior team members.
You will join a friendly and collaborative European team that values knowledge-sharing and mutual support. Travel represents around half of your time, usually two to three days per week with occasional overnight stays. The role can be home-office based, with regular visits to the headquarters near Paris.
Compensation includes a fixed salary around €80K and a variable component of about 30% at target, with the possibility of doubling the bonus through strong performance.
If this sounds like the right next step in your career, we invite you to send your CV along with a brief introduction.
