We are seeking a highly skilled and visionary SEO Strategist / Head of SEO to define and lead our search growth roadmap. In this senior role, you will be responsible for setting the overall SEO direction, prioritizing initiatives that drive business impact, and aligning organic growth efforts with company-wide objectives.
As a T-shaped marketer, you will combine deep SEO expertise with a broad understanding of marketing, analytics, and digital growth. You will work closely with leadership, product, design, content, and development teams to ensure SEO is embedded across every function of the business. The ideal candidate is both analytical and creative, capable of developing data-driven strategies while inspiring cross-functional teams to execute at the highest level.
Responsibilities
- Strategy & Leadership: Define the organization’s SEO vision, long-term growth roadmap, and execution strategy; design and implement comprehensive SEO initiatives across technical SEO, content strategy, link-building, and experimentation; evaluate and prioritize opportunities based on ROI, complexity, and competitive landscape; align SEO objectives with KPIs (MQLs, CAC, ARR, pipeline velocity); monitor search engine trends and industry best practices; champion SEO within the organization.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with product and development teams on SEO requirements for platform architecture, site migrations, and new features; work with content, editorial, design, and UX/UI teams to ensure SEO-friendly content and templates; align with marketing and demand generation to integrate SEO into campaigns and growth initiatives; foster a culture where SEO is a core growth lever.
- Performance Tracking & Reporting: Establish a robust measurement framework with clear KPIs; use GA4, Google Search Console, Ahrefs, SEMrush, Looker Studio to monitor, identify opportunities, and track progress; deliver leadership reports on keyword growth, traffic, conversions, and revenue attribution from SEO; translate data into actionable insights for non-technical stakeholders; identify analytics gaps and collaborate with data teams to improve measurement.
- Team & Vendor Management: Build and lead an SEO team (in-house or distributed); manage external agencies, freelancers, and consultants; mentor and upskill team members across departments to improve SEO literacy.
Requirements
- Must-Haves: 4+ years of proven SEO strategy and leadership experience, ideally in a tech-driven environment; track record of scaling organic channels to deliver measurable business results (revenue growth, lead generation, or market expansion); strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret large datasets and make data-driven decisions; proficiency in SEO and analytics platforms (GA4, Google Search Console, Ahrefs, SEMrush, Moz, Looker Studio); excellent communication, leadership, and stakeholder management skills; deep understanding of how SEO intersects with broader marketing, product, and sales strategies.
- Nice-to-Haves: Experience managing SEO at scale for international or enterprise-level websites; familiarity with CRO, paid media, and marketing automation tools; hands-on experience with technical SEO concepts (schema markup, JavaScript rendering, Core Web Vitals); background in leading distributed teams or managing agency partnerships.
