Offer Description

- main mission: The postdoctoral research associate (PRDA) will have two main missions. The first one will be to develop and synthesize Nitrogen-containing Lewis bases (amine, imidazole, pyridine, etc) and borane-based Lewis acids (with various substituents) and determine the structure/properties relationship towards targeted reaction at the molecular level (the reaction needed to recycle polymeric materials). He/She will then design complex polymeric LPs inspired by enzyme structures, integrate them in thermosets and study the behavior of this new catalysts in targeted and industrially relevant polymer matrices by combining molecular and macromolecular characterization techniques.

- activities: The PRDA will (i) synthesize Nitrogen-containing Lewis bases (amine, imidazole, pyridine, etc) and borane-based Lewis acids (with various substituents) (ii) study the formation of Lewis adducts by NMR spectroscopy (e.g.1H and11B) and isothermal titration calorimetry (iii) study the thermal stability and activity of this new catalysts at the molecular level under recycling conditions (high temperature, multiple cycles) (iv) prepare monomer which contained Lewis acids and bases moieties (v) synthesize foldable polymeric structure by reversible Lewis pair interaction

The net monthly salary is between €2,200 and €2,380

The contract duration is 18 months
