We are seeking experienced Backend Engineering Lead to join our engineering teams. This role involves designing and building scalable backend systems that power AstroPay’s core products. Candidates should have a solid grasp of backend architectures, microservices, APIs, and data handling.

As an Engineering Lead at AstroPay, you’ll join a high-impact team responsible for designing, building, and maintaining the core services that power our global financial ecosystem. Your work will be instrumental in supporting high-volume, real-time transactions across multiple regions. This role goes beyond writing clean and scalable code — it’s about understanding system architecture, optimizing performance, and collaborating with other teams to build solutions that are both innovative and robust. • Design, develop and maintain backend systems, APIs and databases.
• Work closely with product teams to deliver high-quality solutions.
• Contribute to architectural decisions and ensure code quality and performance.
• Monitor and improve system reliability.

• 5+ years of experience as a backend developer.
• Strong programming skills in Java, Go, Node.js or similar.
• Strong knowledge in databases.
• Experience with distributed systems and microservices.
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, cloud environments, and database optimization.
