Were seeking a self-motivated CAD Designer to join our remote team. The ideal candidate will be proficient in AutoCAD or SketchUp, experienced in residential construction, and capable of independently assisting in producing turn-key drawing sets based on direction from our architectural design team. Familiarity with Scottsdale-based projects is a strong plus.
- Create and revise residential building plans and technical drawings using AutoCAD or SketchUp.
- Translate architectural concepts and direction into complete, permit-ready drawing sets.
- Collaborate remotely with architects, engineers, and project managers.
- Ensure drawings meet applicable codes, standards, and client expectations.
- Maintain organized digital archives and version control.
- Deliver turn-key drawing packages with minimal supervision.
- Associates or Bachelors degree in Drafting, Architecture, or related field.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD or SketchUp (required).
- Strong understanding of residential design principles and construction documentation.
- Experience working in or with teams based in Scottsdale, AZ ().
- Proven experience in residential construction and familiarity with building systems.
- Ability to work independently and manage deadlines in a remote environment.
- Excellent communication skills and familiarity with remote collaboration tools (Zoom, Teams, Slack).
- Knowledge of Scottsdale zoning and building codes.
- Experience with 3D modeling and rendering.
- Familiarity with permit-ready drawing standards and construction detailing.
- Starting pay rate of $25/hour, with potential for growth.
