This position is posted by Jobgether on behalf of a partner company. We are currently looking for a Senior Software Engineer (Go) - Security & Secrets in the European Union.

As a Senior Software Engineer focused on Security & Secrets, you will design, develop, and operate the services that underpin authentication, authorization, and secret management across a large-scale, distributed platform. This role offers the opportunity to work on mission-critical systems that ensure performance, security, and reliability across multi-cloud environments. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement scalable and efficient solutions, improve service performance, and maintain strict availability and latency standards. With ownership over end-to-end projects, you will shape the technical approach to authentication, secret management, and secure service orchestration. The environment is fully remote, encourages innovation, and values clean code, best practices, and knowledge sharing. Your work will directly impact platform reliability, security, and the experience of internal engineering teams.

Accountabilities

• Design, develop, and optimize high-performance Go microservices for authentication, authorization, and role-based access control (RBAC).
• Build and maintain systems that securely manage secrets and enable secure interactions with external services.
• Ensure high availability and performance in a Kubernetes multi-cloud environment across AWS, Azure, and GCP.
• Continuously refine services for efficiency, cost-effectiveness, and reliability while meeting strict SLOs.
• Collaborate closely with platform teams to drive innovation, reliability, and security improvements.
• Take ownership of projects end-to-end, including deployment, monitoring, and operational support.

Qualifications

• Strong experience designing and building distributed systems for high-performance, mission-critical applications.
• Proficient in Go, with a practical approach to selecting the right tool for the job.
• Experience with cloud and containerization technologies, CI/CD pipelines, and test automation.
• Familiarity with security practices, identity systems, and secret management solutions.
• Comfortable owning projects end-to-end and supporting them in production environments.
• Excellent collaboration and communication skills for knowledge sharing across teams.
• Desirable: experience with Kubernetes operator patterns, HashiCorp Vault, and cloud-native security practices.
