Job summary
A leading IT services firm is seeking a Public Procurement Expert to support the Directorate-General for Informatics of the European Commission. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in EU public procurement and digital transformation projects. This role offers a permanent contract, full-time position, and the flexibility of 100% remote work within the EU. Responsibilities
- Support clients in selecting procurement instruments.
- Assist in drafting technical specifications.
- Guide clients through the evaluation phase.

Education
We are looking for a Public Procurement Expert to support the Directorate-General for Informatics (DIGIT) of the European Commission. The selected consultant will assist clients throughout the procurement process, ensuring compliance with all applicable standards, workflows, and templates.
Tasks
- Support clients in selecting the appropriate procurement instrument
- Assist in drafting and reviewing technical specifications and related documents
- Coordinate with DIGIT stakeholders for the publication of calls for tenders
- Provide support during the Q&A phase of the tendering process
- Guide clients through the evaluation phase using templates and tailored explanations
- Draft evaluation reports and award decisions
- Report on evaluation progress and escalate potential issues
- Capture lessons learned and propose improvements to future procedures
- Contribute to DIGIT’s procurement strategy and help shape the catalogue of procurement tools
