Backend Engineer
We are looking for a Backend Engineer with two or more years of experience who wants to take his or her career to the next level by working on internal and client-facing web platform projects. The position is located in Valencia and reports directly to the Director of Application Development. You will be working on a brand new initiative at Plug and Play – a software that will underpin the entire company for years to come. You will be part of an international team.
- Design the future of our full-stack innovation software using the latest cloud technologies and industry best practices.
- Contribute to the development of internal and client-facing web platform projects.
- Must have: Two or more years of experience as a backend developer in a software-based product
- Expertise in the Python programming language
- Expertise in at least one popular full-stack web framework (like Django, Spring Boot). Preferably Django.
- Expertise in designing scalable data solutions based on object-relational mapping (ORM)
- Experience designing and implementing secure REST APIs
- Experience with popular web architecture patterns and tooling (e.g., microservices, event-driven architectures)
- Knowledge of Continuous Integration (CI) and Continuous Deployment (CD) pipelines
- Knowledge of Cloud Service provider offerings (PaaS and IaaS)
- Data analytics: data warehouse design, ETL software, visualization tools (PowerBI, etc.)
- Knowledge of machine learning
- Good collaboration skills
- Be an optimistic and open-minded doer willing to adopt new approaches and technologies while ensuring they are effectively put to work within our stack
- Support the team in our journey to become a DevOps workshop
- Fluency in English is essential
