Technical WriterSummary:
The Technical Writer will play a critical role within AirOps Operations by being responsible for the creation, review and ongoing maintenance of technical and functional documentation used by the organization, including but not limited to process flows, user guides, operational guides, UAT test scripts and exit criteria, and release notes.
The Technical Writer will create clear, detailed and concise, user-focused documentation. The work performed will bridge the gap between technical experts and end-users by translating complex concepts into accessible and engaging content.
In this role you will:
Create, edit, and maintain comprehensive functional and technical documentation required for the day-to-day functioning of the AirOps Operations organization
Create and maintain templates to standardize and streamline processes across the Operations department
Participate in requirements gathering meetings, system demos and other stakeholder gatherings to ensure a continued understanding of the business, and work closely with business stakeholders and developers to understand requirements, gather and clarify technical information and ensure accuracy and completeness of documentation
Collaborate with the Business Analyst to create and maintain comprehensive documentation of business processes, requirements, and solutions by accurately transcribing the inputs received.
Understand complex technical concepts and translate them into effective, logical and user-friendly documentation using accessible language for a non-technical audience when needed
On a continuous basis, search for ways to improve the functioning of the Operations Department and gather feedback from users to improve the quality of the documentation
Ensure the correct application of Amadeus document templates and version control, as well as consistency of language and style used in the documentation
Ensure all documentation is shared with the user community and easily accessible by them, and manage periodic communications regarding new and updated documentation
Propose and implement innovative solutions to automate and/or simplify the technical writing methodology
About the ideal candidate:
Bachelor's degree in Technical Writing, Process Management, English, Communications, or another related field
2-4 years of relevant experience
Excellent written and spoken English
Ability to write documentation for different audiences including business users and developers. Ability to explain complex concepts in an understandable and clear manner
Proficiency in using documentation tools such as Microsoft Word, Confluence, SharePoint
Business understanding of fields like Engineering, Project Management, Manufacturing, Service Management
