The Automation Engineer - Legal Transformation will assist with executing the global Legal and Compliance Department’s transformation strategy. This role focuses on enhancing operational efficiency, innovation, and value delivery through the design and implementation of automated workflows and legal technology solutions.
This person will design, build, and maintain automation to streamline legal processes, enable advanced data analytics, and support strategic decision‑making. This person will leverage both quantitative data and qualitative insights to help identify transformation opportunities and deliver projects that drive meaningful change across all legal functions. The role requires close collaboration with global Legal Department stakeholders and cross‑functional teams to support large‑scale change initiatives and to drive ongoing scale and growth. The ideal candidate will have the ability to translate strategic objectives into actionable workstreams and drive implementation plans to achieve complex goals. Working in a highly‑matrixed organization, this role requires building relationships and coordinating across multiple departments and regions.
This person has a natural interest in technology and stays up to date with emerging legal tech, automation, and data solutions to identify future opportunities for the Legal Department. The role reports directly to the VP, Global Legal Transformation.
3 to 5 Years of relevant work experience
Bachelor's degree in Business Technology, Computer Science or related discipline required.
Prior exposure to legal environments and understanding of legal processes such as contract and document management is a plus.
Technical Expertise • Proven experience with Microsoft Power Platform (Power Automate, Power Apps, Power BI).
Strong skills in workflow configuration, systems integration, and advanced computer applications.
Familiarity with legal tech platforms such as BRYTER or Mitratech TAP is a plus.
Ability to quickly learn and adapt to new systems and technologies.
Project & Process Management: Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects and priorities efficiently under pressure.
Strong organizational and time management skills with a proactive approach to driving tasks to completion.
Experience delivering complex projects with stakeholders across various geographies.
Knowledge of Agile methodology preferred.
Communication & Collaboration • Excellent communication and collaboration skills with both technical and non‑technical stakeholders.
Ability to translate business needs into effective technical solutions.
Capable of building strong working relationships and working independently or within a team.
Analytical & Problem Solving • Strong analytical, logical reasoning, and problem‑solving abilities.
Attention to detail with high accuracy and efficiency in execution.
