Spanish Accounting & Accounts Payable Analyst
Role Overview: As the Spanish Accounting & Accounts Payable Analyst, you will play a key role in the company's financial operations, focusing primarily on Accounts Payable and General Accounting (80%), with a supporting role in Payroll review and compliance (20%).
Key Responsibilities
- Accounts Payable & General Accounting (80%)
- Manage the end-to-end Accounts Payable process, including invoice processing, vendor reconciliations, and timely payments, ensuring compliance with internal controls and Spanish regulations.
- Review and validate vendor invoices, ensuring proper coding, approvals, and alignment with purchase orders.
- Maintain accurate AP ledgers and assist in monthly reconciliations.
- Support month-end and year-end closing activities, including journal entries, accruals, and account reconciliations.
- Assist in preparing financial statements and internal reports.
- Collaborate with internal departments and external vendors to resolve invoice discrepancies and payment issues.
- Ensure compliance with local tax regulations, including VAT and withholding tax reporting.
- Support audits by preparing documentation and responding to auditor inquiries.
- Payroll Review & Compliance (20%)
- Review monthly payroll calculations prepared by ADP for accuracy and compliance with Spanish labor laws and internal policies.
- Validate payroll inputs such as new hires, terminations, leaves, and garnishments.
- Reconcile payroll reports with accounting records.
- Assist in reviewing Social Security contributions and tax filings (e.g., models 111, 190, 296).
- Maintain payroll documentation for audit and compliance purposes.
