Location: Hybrid, Barcelona

Are you passionate about building robust, low-level software solutions that power world-class platforms? We are seeking a passionate Senior Software Engineer to join our innovative product team in Barcelona. In this key role, you will help shape and build our core macOS solution, a critical component of our observability portfolio, designed to monitor device and application performance across end-user environments. In this hybrid role, you will drive the evolution of our Aternity portfolio, crafting innovative solutions that deliver maximum value and reliability to our customers.

What you will do

• Design, build, and maintain our core macOS monitoring agent as part of a strategic observability product portfolio.
• Develop innovative tools that monitor end-user devices under demanding performance constraints.
• Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve application and system performance issues, enabling customers to better understand and optimize their technology stacks.
• Drive projects end to end: from initial design through implementation, testing, and final delivery, ensuring milestones are met and risks are mitigated.
• Contribute to the development of both customer-facing features and foundational platform components.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams—including DevOps, Product Owners, management, and additional stakeholders—to define and deliver on product vision.
• Support the sustainability and serviceability of our solutions, proactively addressing issues and ensuring operational excellence.
• Engage in research and self-driven learning to stay at the forefront of Apple ecosystem developments and apply cutting-edge techniques to product innovation.

What makes you an ideal candidate

• Strong proficiency in Go programming language.
• Experience developing for macOS, or deep familiarity with the Apple ecosystem.
• Solid understanding of macOS or iOS internals (system calls, process management, file systems).
• Proven experience programming in Swift, Objective-C, C, or C++.
• Hands-on experience with system monitoring and data collection tools/libraries.
• Track record of optimizing application performance and efficiently managing system resources.
• Experience designing, building, and maintaining headless applications or daemons running as background processes on macOS.
• Excellent communication skills; fluent English required.
