As a Senior Data Engineer, you will play a key role in large projects, applying your expertise in data architecture and engineering to meet high standards.

How you will contribute

Joining the Platform and Services team within our data engineering community, you will:

  • Design our data platform, from ingestion to exposure
  • Collaborate with other data teams on analytics services and best practices
  • Work with machine learning engineers to integrate automation features
  • Partner with software engineers to ensure data quality and integrity
  • Optimize core components for scalability and cost-efficiency
  • Establish high standards and best practices in data engineering

What to expect at Pennylane

Within one month:

  • Learn about our company, teams, and vision
  • Familiarize with our stack and complete small projects
  • Meet stakeholders and understand our product

Within three months:

  • Take ownership of roadmap items
  • Be comfortable with our tech stack
  • Understand your data scope thoroughly
  • Contribute to cross-team projects

Within six months:

  • Define the team’s roadmap
  • Improve our stack and practices
  • Drive team standards and best practices

Beyond:

  • Grow with the team, mentor new members
  • Lead projects and improve processes
