Context of the Position
We are seeking an experienced and strategic IT / IS Architect (Data Architect) to lead the company’s data architecture initiatives. This is a high-impact role that involves developing robust, scalable solutions and integrating our platforms into an ever-evolving technological ecosystem.
The ideal candidate will collaborate closely with the executive team, managing critical projects and contributing to strategic decision-making regarding data infrastructure and technological advancements.
Responsibilities
- Design and implement a scalable data architecture aligned with business needs and strategic objectives.
- Lead data integration initiatives, ensuring quality, consistency, and availability of information.
- Collaborate with development, product, and operations teams to ensure technical and functional alignment.
- Serve as a bridge between technical teams and senior management, translating business requirements into effective technical solutions.
- Oversee compliance with security standards, data privacy, and applicable regulations. Develop strategies for large-scale data storage, processing, and analysis (Big Data).
- Evaluate and implement emerging technologies to enhance business value.
What We\'re Looking For
Experience
- Minimum of 8 years’ experience in similar IT / IS and data architecture roles. Designing scalable and robust architectures.
- Proven experience in designing and implementing Big Data solutions and cloud-based architectures (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud).
- Languages: Fluent English (Interviews will be conducted in English) / French (nice to have)
- Communication: Strong communication skills and ability to effectively interact with senior leadership.
- Interpersonal Skills: Ability to collaborate in a diverse and dynamic environment.
Technical Skills
- Advanced knowledge of relational (SQL) and non-relational (NoSQL) database systems.
- Experience with Big Data tools and platforms (Hadoop, Spark, Kafka, etc.).
- Designing and optimizing data pipelines.
- Expertise in ETL tools (Informatica, Talend, Apache Nifi, etc.).
- Experience integrating data across enterprise systems.
- Logical and physical data modeling.
- Defining standards and policies for data governance.
- Implementing security measures for data management.
- Knowledge of regulations like GDPR or other relevant standards.
- Proficiency in Python, Java, R, or similar for data analysis and processing.
