As an engineer, you will be a technical expert on our AI Process Optimization (AIPO) team, turning requirements into functional applications and services that empower colleagues across DocuWare.Your responsibilities will include:

• You will build and maintain AI-powered tools — from workflow automations to general-use platforms such as ai.docuware.com.
• You will implement and scale solutions by integrating existing AI products and custom applications.
• You will collaborate with the Team Lead, internal stakeholders, and those with product ownership responsibilities to ensure built and implemented solutions meet organizational and user needs.
• You will provide technical input and context, enabling colleagues and internal stakeholders to understand the capabilities and limitations of our built and implemented AI solutions.
• You will stay current on AI technologies and apply the best available options to maximize the value of our solutions.

• You have professional experience in software engineering, with AI development experience preferred.
• You bring strong skills in a core language such as Python, JavaScript/TypeScript, or SQL, and experience with frameworks and tools such as Flask, Docker, and Git.
• You are familiar with cloud platforms (Azure preferred), APIs, deployments, and databases (SQL Server, MongoDB).
• You have knowledge of AI/ML fundamentals, can work with model APIs (e.g., OpenAI), and are comfortable experimenting with prompt design and evaluating results.
• You understand the importance of data quality for AI systems and can apply basic preprocessing steps when needed.
• You are an excellent communicator with a proactive, problem-solving mindset. You can consult with colleagues and stakeholders, provide clear insights, and translate technical realities into practical understanding.
• You think creatively and outside the box, challenge the status quo, and are passionate about delivering solutions that maximize value and improve the end-user experience.
• You thrive in a dynamic environment, are open to feedback, and see change as an opportunity to learn and contribute.
