POSITION SUMMARY:
Responsible for developing and maintaining production routings and bills of material based on engineering documentation. Plans material flow, labor, and tooling requirements for both new and existing products.
WHAT YOU WILL DO:
- Interpret engineering releases by implementing ECOs, ECNs, and EADs.
- Create production routings with estimated labor times for fabrication, assembly, and installation.
- Calculate raw material requirements for new fabricated parts.
- Update production routings for components and sub-assemblies.
- Support new design and contract processes, including CFA routings, bill splitting, and installation hours reconciliation.
- Maintain and load standard estimating data.
- Manage manufacturing bills for sales releases.
- Create and distribute shop floor drawing packages.
- Conduct process planning audits and generate output reports.
- Interpret and process PCRs.
- Coordinate with manufacturing engineering, production, inventory, purchasing, and planning teams to implement engineering changes.
- Provide labor estimates for bid and sales release customer requests.
- Participate in process improvement initiatives.
- Assist in resolving MRP processing errors.
- Attend virtual review meetings as required.
- Support manufacturing and production engineering teams.
- Contribute to related process planning tasks as needed.
- Participate in SWAT meetings and address open issues.
- Conduct process observations as assigned.
- Support lean manufacturing initiatives.
WHAT YOU NEED TO BE SUCCESSFUL:
- Post-secondary degree in engineering or technology, or equivalent manufacturing process planning experience.
- APICS or CPIM certification preferred.
- Experience in labor and materials planning within an MRO environment.
- Proficiency in Oracle and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Ability to travel up to 10% of the time.
