A leading educational institution in Toronto is seeking a Career Coach to enhance student success through comprehensive coaching and curriculum design. This full-time, hybrid role focuses on supporting students' professional growth by integrating Life Design principles into their learning experiences. The ideal candidate will possess a Master's degree and relevant certifications, along with a strong background in career development and the ability to foster inclusive learning environments. Join a mission-driven team dedicated to transforming the educational experience.
We are looking for the visionaries, the change-makers, and the self-starters who are seeking more from their career. Change begins with the small decisions we make, each day, to support each other, and strive to create inspiring, incredible educational experiences for all students, no matter where they are, or how they learn. In choosing a career with Yorkville University, you will have the opportunity to push boundaries, flex your creativity, and inspire positive change for so many people.
Our core values put the student experience at the center of what we do, reflecting who we are, and aspire to be. If you want to shine a light on academic excellence, be empowered to make an impact on the transformation of the Canadian post-secondary education landscape, and work collaboratively beyond levels, join us.
Reporting to the Director, Career Education, we are seeking a Career Coach to support a new initiative that empowers students through a comprehensive, developmental Life Design curriculum, one that builds professional identity from day one. In this role, you will serve as a principal co-designer—advancing the modernization of our Career Education Centre through a shared transformation from traditional career services to evidence-informed, developmentally sequenced programming that integrates academic learning, experiential education, and professional identity exploration. You will work with learners across undergraduate and graduate programs to navigate academic, professional, and personal pathways, guided by intellectual curiosity, purposeful reflection, and increasing self-authorship.
Operating across multimodal and multi-jurisdictional environments, you will deliver research-informed, equity-centred, and pedagogically aligned coaching and programming. You will apply Life Design principles, career development theory, and insights into the future of work to help students and alumni connect education to opportunity and cultivate meaningful, socially responsive, and ethically grounded futures. You will contribute to Yorkville’s national model for Career and Life Design by co-creating and refining a framework that advances identity development, professional readiness, and long-term career agency across the student lifecycle.
This is a full-time role, currently following a hybrid model working 4-days a week on-site at our Toronto location and 1-day remotely.
Purpose. You will contribute to a mission-driven, research-aligned transformation that strengthens learner confidence, belonging, and identity development while shaping a national model for career education. Your work will build inclusive pathways that create professional growth opportunities grounded in personal fulfillment, connection, and long-term resilience. Through events, mentorship, programs, and thought leadership, you will design and facilitate high-impact learning environments that enhance the Yorkville experience as students navigate their academic journey.
Growth. This is an opportunity to strengthen your professional reputation and influence as you help build a national program advancing holistic student development, applied research, and institutional innovation. You will deepen your expertise in curriculum design, experiential learning strategy, partnership development, and scholarly communication within a collaborative environment that values innovation and inclusivity. You will work closely with senior leaders, expand your employer engagement acumen, and build a strong foundation for future roles in higher education leadership, industry strategy, community impact, or applied research.
We welcome and appreciate candidates with a range of backgrounds and experiences. If you have 70% of the qualifications we are looking for, express your interest.
